AZS33: fused zirconium corundum brick

The compact microstructure of AZS33# zirconium corundum brick makes it resistant to glass erosion and is not easy to produce stones or other defects in glass kilns.It is the most widely used product in glass kiln, it is mainly applicable to the upper structure of melting pond, the wall brick of working pond, the paving brick, the material road and so on.

AZS33 is one of the most widely used and widely used tea products in AZS series. It has superior performance in preventing the glass liquid from being polluted.It is widely used in the pool wall, bottom, upper structure and feeding channel of glass kiln.

Fused zirconium fused alumina brick AZS36# :

In addition to the same eutectic body as AZS33# fused zirconium corundum brick, no. 36#AZS brick is suitable for areas with high liquid glass flow rate or high temperature because more chain locked zirconia crystals are added and the content of glass phase is low, so the corrosion resistance of no. 36 fused zirconium corundum brick is further enhanced.

AZS41: fused zirconium corundum brick

AZS41 is the most excellent product in the series of molten AZS. It has the characteristics of high corrosion resistance of glass liquid, high leakage temperature of glass phase, and extremely low pollution to glass liquid.It is widely used in the hot spots of glass kiln, such as the pool wall, the feed inlet corner, the flow hole, the kiln canning, the bottom bubble and the whole electric melting furnace.

Four casting methods for fused zirconium corundum brick
The fused zirconium corundum brick ingot is segregated along the cross section to form a chemical-phase composition due to the temperature gradient during the condensation process. The ZrO2 content is high, the ingot size is larger, and the degree of segregation is more. The ingot is generally divided into three zones: a surface rapid cooling zone (small and uniform crystal), an intermediate dense zone (ZrO2 is highly concentrated, crystal growth) and a shrinkage zone (hole). The first two zones are the most resistant parts. Condensation of the melt in the sand pattern produces a volume shrinkage of 12% to 15%, forming a shrinkage cavity. According to the volume of the shrinkage cavity and the treatment method, the existing four casting methods
1 Ordinary casting method (abbreviated PT) is cast with an ordinary riser. The first solidified portion is finely crystallized, and the post-cured portion is coarsely crystallized. There is a large shrinkage hole, and the position of the shrinkage hole is substantially the same as the position of the casting hole on the brick surface. The bulk density is around 3. 3g/cm3.
2 inclined casting method (abbreviation QX), the casting mold is placed at an angle obliquely, and the riser is placed at the upper end of the mold, so that the shrinkage hole is condensed at one end of the product, and the position of the shrinkage hole is close to the bottom of the brick. Most of the molds are dense, especially in the lower half of the bevel. This method is suitable for long bricks.

3 Non-shrinkage casting method (abbreviation WS) Additional size sand when casting. Focus the shrinkage holes on top. Excision after annealing. The remaining used parts are uniform in composition and dense in structure.

4 dense casting method (abbreviation MS) dense casting method is also called strengthening casting method or multiple filling method. The first casting, the shrinkage hole is produced, and the gap is changed for a certain period of time. This can greatly reduce the volume of the shrinkage cavity and increase the casting rate of the casting. The average bulk density of the fused zirconium corundum bricks having a ZrO2 33% is about 3. 6g/cm3.

Characteristics of fused zirconia corundum bricks for glass kiln

Ordinary glass melting furnace wall bricks generally use a shallow pool structure with a thickness of 250mm and a height of about 1350mm. The wall bricks are made of fully oxidized obliquely cast fused zirconia corundum. Generally, 36#AZS is used for the melting zone, 33#AZS is used for the clarification zone, and 41#AZS is used for the corner. Under the same quality conditions, the high-grade bricks are more resistant to erosion, but the high-grade bricks are prone to bursting when the residual amount of erosion is less than 50 mm, and also designed as a layered structure or a deep pool structure. With the increase of kiln age and the use of lower layer insulation and bubbling, the erosion of the lower pool wall is more, and it is not easy to inspect. Some manufacturers have thinned the lower pool wall when discharging water, so the quality of the lower pool wall should also be taken seriously. In order to gradually extend the life of domestic glass melting furnaces, the production technology of fused zirconium corundum bricks can be improved, and the use of pool bricks is also essential.

Characteristics of fused zirconium corundum brick

There are many domestic enterprises producing fused refractory materials for glass kiln, and the product quality level and price difference are also very large. Many domestic manufacturers have great room for improvement in appearance quality, composition design, casting process and dimensional accuracy. The quality of the brick directly affects the life of the pool wall, especially the crystal phase structure, glass phase content and processing accuracy of the brick. Due to the compact structure and low porosity, the fused refractory material has a high Young's modulus and a high brittleness below 800 °C. The cold compressive strength is very large, greater than 350 MPa, but the tensile strength is only about 20 MPa. In the case of impact and uneven heating, when the tensile stress caused by the temperature difference is too large and the volume changes too fast, there is no pore as a buffering effect, and it is easy to burst.
